Spaces with tutors are limited. We recommend that you book at least 2-3 weeks in advance to guarantee a place. If you have any questions and have specific time constraints, please contact us before registering so we help confirm availability.
After you enroll in a tutoring option, you will first sit the diagnostic exam and then begin the tutoring once you have established a base level with your tutor. From this, your tutor will create a study plan that suits your needs based on your strengths and weaknesses. If you are not happy with the first hour of your tutoring package, we will be happy to give you a full refund and cancel the rest of your sessions, providing you notify us after the first session.
If you want private tutoring because you are unable to attend a classroom course, please note that you will still have a significant amount of work to do in between your sessions, and so you might not want to do more than 2 sessions of 2 hours each per week.
If you’re unsure of how to structure your private tutoring session, do not worry! First complete the diagnostic exam, then meet with your tutor for the first one-hour session, get the homework and see how you feel. You can discuss with your tutor what the best structure and schedule will be for you.
Beyond your general availability (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends) you can also schedule additional sessions directly with your tutor and adjust the pace depending on how you’re progressing.
In general, we recommend your tutoring session be between 90 minutes to 2 hours long, and usually meeting no more than 2 times a week so that you also have time to complete assignments. However, it is completely up to you!
Usually it can take up to 10 days. However, the more flexible you are in terms of availability the quicker we are likely to match you to a tutor.
It's very easy and extremely convenient! Just ensure you have a working internet connection, and test your video and voice connection on Skype prior to your first session. This will ensure a smooth one-to-one session with your tutor.
We recommend giving yourself around 2-3 months before the test date. Then allow for about 2 weeks to review before your actual test. Also, make sure the day before the test you take a break and relax from studying to ensure everything you've learned has soaked in.
The SAT Subject Test give you a chance to show off your talents and interests in a specific subject! These tests are essay-based and are often required to be taken along with your SAT or ACT exams, just on different dates.
You should take the SAT Subject Tests right after you’ve completed one of the test-prep courses, because the material will still be fresh in your mind. You can sit the tests on the same day as the SAT however since not all Subject Tests are offered on every test date, you will need to check collegeboard.org to find out when the international test dates are.
Balance this with US university application deadlines. If you’re interested in applying Early Decision or Early Action to any university, you are advised to take the SAT Subject Tests by Autumn of Year 13. For normal decision applications, some universities accept Subject Test scores through the January administration. Use the US University Search to look up policies.
All SAT Subject Tests are one-hour, multiple-choice tests. In any given sitting you can take 1, 2 or 3 tests. You choose the tests that you want to take and how many you would like to take per sitting (up to 3). Whilst you will need to give this information when you register, you are free to change which tests and the number of tests that you want to take on test day.
Yes - for most Ivy League and competitive universities. When in doubt, call the university and speak to the admissions department. Please note that even if you are taking the ACT you will likely still be required to do SAT Subject Tests.
SAT Subject Tests are the only US admission tests where you choose the tests that best showcase your achievements and interests, so by taking one or more SAT Subject Tests, you have an opportunity to highlight your unique strengths or areas of interest. If you’re interested in particular subjects or programs of study, this is a great opportunity for you to enhance your admission credentials and send a strong message to universities about your talents.
SAT Subject Tests are administered at the same test centres as the SAT. Visit the Register page to find out where you can take SAT Subject Tests and to sign up early to get a seat at the nearest location.
Yes. Score Choice is an optional feature that allows students to choose which SAT Subject Test scores they’d like to send to universities, in accordance with each universities’s policy. If Score Choice is not used, all scores are sent to the selected score recipients. Students should still feel comfortable sending all scores, since most universities consider a student’s best scores.
Each test is scored between 200-800 points
Please note that SAT Subject Test tutoring is subject to availability. Our tutors can be fully-booked, especially close to SAT Test dates, and it may not be possible to match you with a tutor at short notice.
