My Experience as a Kaplan Student Brand Ambassador
As a Student Brand Ambassador for Kaplan’s Indian division, I’ve had the opportunity to get involved with many different types of tasks which have allowed me to develop skills I already have, as well as gain new ones. I was previously associated with a few different brands as an SBA, and learnt about Kaplan’s SBA role through one of my faculty. As soon as I read the job description and saw what it had to offer, I realised that this was the perfect job for me!
At Kaplan, my main responsibility has been to promote our NEET-PG mock tests to students, as well as build mutually beneficial relationships with various student groups and medical associations. This approach has allowed me to act as an intermediary, as I provided resources and in turn received feedback and improvements that are being implemented.
Being a second-year medical student myself, my academic responsibilities have increased significantly compared to the first year, however this role has catered to this change by having flexible hours. My tasks as an SBA for Kaplan have also been consistent each week and I was given a structured plan with allocated hours for each one.
It’s been a great work experience overall, as I’ve further developed my skill-sets, including communication, organisation and creativity, all while getting paid! I’ve also been supported along the way and appreciate the employees at Kaplan who have guided and mentored me during this journey.
The empowerment I felt from seeing my ideas and opinions considered - and the feeling of adding value - has provided me with a great sense of accomplishment. I would like to thank Kaplan for providing me with an opportunity to work with them!
